Provided below please find important information and helpful hints to assist you with the transition of your account(s) to Provident Bank.  To learn more about Provident Bank and their online services, visit the Provident Bank Welcome page for

Provident Bank sent "Welcome" packages, providing additional information.  If you have any questions, please call us at 301-987-BANK (2265) or 1-800-987-BANK (out of area).  Business customers please call 1-877-987-4BIZ (4249).

 

As of January, 24, 2009 you were no longer able to access those accounts that were transferred to Provident Bank via your Chevy Chase Check Card, through Chevy Chase Online Banking, Chevy Chase Telephone Banking or at ATMs. 

For Personal Customers:

  • If you have used Chevy Chase Online Banking since January 2008, you will be automatically enrolled in Provident Online Banking. Your User ID will be your Chevy Chase Online Banking User Name (all in lower case). Your temporary password will be the last six digits of your Tax ID/social security number.
  • If you have not used Chevy Chase Online Banking in the last year, you will not be automatically moved to Provident Online Banking. However, you can sign up quickly and easily on or after January 26, 2009.

For Business Customers:

  • If you have used Chevy Chase Online Banking for Small Business since January 2008, you will be automatically converted to Provident Small Business Internet Banking. Your User ID will be your business Tax ID without dashes. Your temporary password will be mailed to you prior to the transfer.

  • If you have not used Chevy Chase Online Banking for Small Business in the last year, you will not be automatically moved to Provident Small Business Internet Banking, but you can sign up quickly and easily on or after January 26, 2009.
