What are the basic steps for importing?
Basic steps for importing to a Chevy Chase Online Access database:
What is an import format?
Import formats are a feature used to match the characteristics of customer data exported from spreadsheets or accounting packages with data entry requirements for an ACH database. Import formats "map" each piece of data to its required location in the ACH database. Import formats also specify whether customer data is in a fixed format or comma separated format. Once an import format is created, it can be used again and again each time data is imported.
What are the ACH cut-off times?
ACH batches are "scooped" for processing twice each business day, at 1:30 am and 4:30 PM Eastern Time.
Is Chevy Chase Online Access preset with certain holidays?
Chevy Chase Online Access is set with the holidays designated by the Federal Reserve. However, you should check your Holiday Table to make sure the dates are correct for the current year.
Can I create and release batches on holidays that are set in the Holiday Table?
Yes, you may create and release batches on holidays, but you may not assign an effective date for the holiday.
Will holidays block me or warn me?
You will receive the following warning when you attempt to set a Wire or ACH effective date on a holiday:
The date you selected, mm/dd/yyyy, is not a business day. Do you
want to use the next business day or previous business day?
Prev, Next, Cancel
You can still create and release batches on these dates.
Can I rename an ACH database?
No. Once a database has been created you cannot edit the name that appears in the Database List screen.
Can I copy the first entry of a database and use it as a template?
No, each database entry must be keyed in separately.
When attempting to create a batch, why do I keep getting the error, "Unknown action for create batch"?
If this happens, please call the Cash Management Help Line at 240-497-7100.
