Important Information About The Desktop Connection®
The Desktop Connection™ is quick and easy to install without any disks, using an installation wizard for initial setup. System enhancements and upgrades are automatically downloaded. There also is an Internet component for system administration. Multiple users can be set up with entitlements to specific accounts or functions. Chevy Chase Online Delivery transmits and receives data automatically – no scripts required. Online Delivery will regularly check for files to be delivered to you or sent to Chevy Chase Bank from designated folders on your PC. As long as Online Delivery is running, files from the bank will be placed in your designated folder as the bank makes them available. In the same way, all you have to do is place a file in the designated "send" folder and the file will be automatically transmitted to the bank. No complicated FTP processes, no modems, no scripts.
Chevy Chase Online Delivery is secure, using a strong encryption algorithm - Blowfish - with a 442-bit key. Each user has a unique User ID and Password that must be changed every 30 days.
Chevy Chase Online Delivery also offers email and cell phone alerts. You will be notified immediately when a file has been sent to you. Different users can have different alert settings, and users can control their alert settings via the Internet administration functions.
