Our disbursement and reconciliation Cash Management services include many features designed to improve your cash flow management and enhance your controls.
When paired with our checking accounts, the following disbursement and reconciliation services can be extremely valuable to your business:
- Controlled Disbursement
In order to gain the best control over your daily cash position and maximize the use of your funds for other purposes, we offer larger companies our Controlled Disbursement service. This service is best for organizations with large check disbursements requiring advance funding notification of checks received for clearing on a particular day. This account, used exclusively for check disbursements, allows us to report to you each morning, via Chevy Chase Online Access, the total funding required to pay that day’s incoming checks. This information can allow you to maximize the use of your cash for other purposes and fund your master checking account, from which we will draw funds at the end of the day, from other sources such as your line of credit or an investment account. - Account Reconciliation
The Account Reconciliation Program (ARP) provides you with the detailed information you need to reconcile your general ledger with your bank statements. Suitable for any commercial checking account, we offer a full range of service levels from checks paid listings to full reconcilement services that ensure that checks clear for the amount for which they were originally written. In addition, deposit reconciliation is also available for tracking multiple location deposits into a single account to provide strong controls. - Check Archive
This CD-ROM based service provides quick and easy access to digital images of checks (front and back) paid from your accounts. With up to 30,000 images on a single CD-ROM including robust search and query capabilities, you can dramatically reduce time spent handling, filing and researching items. - Positive Pay
Chevy Chase Bank’s Positive Pay service is an effective tool to prevent check fraud. Checks presented to your account are reconciled to your previously submitted check issue data, and any checks missing or not matching the file are intercepted at the teller line or in our operations center and referred to you for payment instructions. Yesterday’s exception items and their images are presented to you daily via Chevy Chase Online Access for pay or return decisions. Our alerts function can email you a notification any day there are exception items requiring your review. - Electronic Disbursement Services
Chevy Chase Bank can meet the needs of companies that originate electronic funds transfers through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) and Wire Transfer networks. Our ACH services provide improved efficiencies over traditional paper-based alternatives, especially for direct deposit of payroll, corporate trade, vendor, tax and other payments. In addition, we can provide online financial electronic data interchange (FEDI) translations to give you quick access to the supporting documentation attached to the ACH transactions for rapid identification and posting. And for those who wish same-day money transfers, complete wire transfer services are also available. We also offer ACH Debit Filters and Blocks to enhance controls and reduce fraudulent ACH transfers that may seek to hit your accounts. - Zero Balance Accounts (ZBA)
ZBAs are designed to maximize cash flow for investing or operating needs. A ZBA is created to serve as a disbursement and depository account. You specify an operating account as the central clearing point for all transactions. At the close of each day, for example, the checks and debits presented to a disbursement ZBA are automatically covered by a transfer of funds from the operating account, bringing the ZBA to a daily collected balance of $0. Multiple ZBAs can be created and linked, allowing you to make the most of your discretionary funds.
