CareersBenefit Program

We're proud of the benefits program that we offer to our full-time and part-time employees. Highlighted below is a brief outline. Detailed information regarding plan design and coverage levels can be provided at the time of an interview. Chevy Chase Bank regularly reviews their benefits package in order to make modifications where necessary.

Health Insurance
We offer a comprehensive health insurance plan. All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate. Coverage includes medical, dental, prescription and vision.

401(k)/Profit Sharing Retirement Plans
The Bank provides a 401(k) plan and a profit sharing plan to assist employees in accumulating assets for retirement income. Employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan the first of the month following one month of service. Employees decide where their employee contributions are invested from amongst the available mutual fund offerings.

Eligibility for the profit sharing plan occurs the first of the month following one year of service at which time the Bank will make a matching contribution of $3 to $1 on the first 2% contributed by the employee to the 401(k) plan. The Bank’s matching contribution is placed with the profit sharing plan that invests in a diversified group of investments. Employees are fully vested in their contributions from the outset and in the matching contributions once the match commences.

Tuition Reimbursement
All full-time, part-time, and peak-time employees with at least 90 days of service are eligible to participate in the program. The plan covers two courses per semester and pays tuition costs up to $5,000 per year for full and part-time employees and $500 per year for peak-time employees.

Flexible Spending Account Plan
This is a voluntary benefit program that allows you to set aside money from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis to pay for health care expenses not covered by insurance and dependent care expenses that allow you and/or your spouse to work. Participants in the dependent care account also receive company credit of 10% of their elected amount.

Employee Term Life/Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate. Coverage amounts are multiples of your salary based on your level within the company. This plan is offered as a package with our Long Term Disability Insurance Plan described below.

Dependent Term Life/Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate. There are 3 dependent term options and 2 dependent accidental death & dismemberment options to choose from.

Long Term Disability Insurance
All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate. This program provides employees with income protection in the event you become unable to work due to a serious illness or injury. Two levels of benefits are offered. This plan is offered as a package with our Employee Term Life Insurance Plan described above.
