  • What can I do with Chevy Chase Online Banking?

    Using Online Banking, you can access all of your Chevy Chase Bank checking, savings, loans, lines of credit, credit cards and Chevy Chase Financial Services Investment accounts linked to your Chevy Chase Check Card or ATM Card.

      Get Account Information

      • Get up-to-the-minute individual account balances - and see the total of all your account balances - 24 hours a day.
      • View a running balance of your account after each transaction when you have selected the "All activity in date order" option as a custom view.
      • View detailed activity for your accounts, the way you want to see it. Create and name your own Custom Views for quick access to the type of activity that you check most such as all activity, the last 10 days' ATM transactions or my deposits.
      • View your "Balance Summary" by clicking on the link conveniently located on the left side of every page in Online Banking.
      • Download account activity into a file that can be imported using Quicken® or Microsoft® Money to track all of your finances.

      Make Transfers

      • Make immediate transfers between most of the accounts linked to your Card and get a summary of past transfers.
      • Make advances or payoff your line of credit.

      Receive and Pay Bills

      • Pay bills or send a check to virtually anyone in the U.S. You can schedule bill payments whenever you log in, or set up recurring bill payments - ideal for paying fixed expenses such as your monthly rent, mortgage, or auto loan.
      • Receive bills with e-Bills. With e-Bills you can view and pay bills online - offering you additional convenience and time savings.

      Set Up Preferences & Other Banking Services

      • Set up your own online preferences, including creating Balance Alerts that notify you when an account balance goes above or below an amount you specify.
      • Enroll in e-Statements and receive your checking, savings and money market account statements online. Use StatementSelect to choose the style of statement that best fits your money management needs.
      • Customize your Online Banking home page with either the Online Banking Main Menu or your Account Balance Summary.
      • Take advantage of other services - whenever you need them. Change your address and phone number, stop payment on a check, link accounts to your Card, and shop securely online to reorder checks.
      • Contact us securely by email.

  • What will I need to use Chevy Chase Online Banking?

    You'll need a Chevy Chase Check Card or ATM Card. Logging in with your user name and password (selected at enrollment) plus your Card number and PIN allows you to get to the accounts linked to your Card. You'll also need a personal checking account linked to your Card to pay bills online.

    In addition, we require that you use an Internet browser that is at least version 4.0 and supports 128-bit encryption in order to do your banking securely.

  • How much does Online Banking cost?

    Online Banking and online bill payment for account access is absolutely free - review your account history, transfer funds and more. We look at it as simply another way to make banking convenience a reality.

    You can also save time and money by using free online bill payment featuring e-Bills.

  • Can I receive bills online?

    Yes, you can receive bills online when you enroll in bill payment.

  • What are e-Bills and who offers them?

    E-Bills are electronic versions of the bills you receive in the mailbox today. With e-Bills you can view your bills - both summary and detail - in the bill payment feature of Online Banking.

    Many of the companies you pay today may already be e-Bill enabled, and the list is always growing.

  • I like the idea of doing my banking over the Web, but I'm concerned about the security of my information. Is Chevy Chase Online Banking secure?

    Security of your account is our number one priority. With Chevy Chase Online Banking, you can do your banking with confidence. We use state-of-the-art technology and a combination of security measures to make your banking sessions secure.

  • Do I need certain software to use Online Banking?

    Our standards are among the highest of companies on the Internet. We require that you use a current version of a browser that supports 128-bit encryption and SSL3, the highest level of encryption commercially available. We do not allow any information from your banking session to be stored on your hard drive unless you download it and save it on your computer.

  • What is PIN Protect?

    Now, with PIN Protect, your account information is even more secure. PIN Protect provides an easy-to-use on-screen tool that adds an extra layer of security to your Online Banking Session. Learn more about how to use PIN Protect. And remember, you should never disclose your password or PIN to anyone, including anyone claiming to represent Chevy Chase Bank.

  • How do I know that my communications are secure?

    Chevy Chase Bank uses firewalls to prevent anyone without proper authorization from accessing Online Banking. A firewall also regulates information coming in and going out, making sure that communications happen only between approved parties.

  • Can I stay logged in indefinitely?

    If you leave your computer unattended, go to another page at chevychasebank.com or go to another Web site without logging out, we will automatically end your banking session after 10 minutes of inactivity.
