Chevy Chase Bank Referral Rules
1. Cash Bonus: The $25 cash bonus may be treated as interest income for tax purposes and may be reflected on your year-end 1099. This offer cannot be combined with any other Chevy Chase Bank promotional offer.
2. Additional Account Terms: Minimum balance required to open Personal account ranges from $25 - $100. As of 8/18/08, the Annual Percentage Yield (APY) for the Personal Interest Checking Account is 0.10% APY for balances of $1,000 and over, and 0.05% for balances below $1,000. See a Branch Representative for interest rates on other interest-bearing checking accounts. Rates may change after account opening. Fees may reduce earnings on accounts. The $25 cash bonus and 5,000 Rewards points will be credited no later than 12/15/08.
3. Additional Requirements for Receiving Cash and Rewards Points: Current Customer: 1) you must be a Chevy Chase Bank checking, savings, and/or money market customer with all account(s) in good standing; 2) you must refer a non-Chevy Chase Bank checking account customer to open a checking account; 3) the new customer has to have met all requirements for the bonus; and 4) you must complete the Current Customer section of the referral form. New Customer: To be eligible to receive cash and Rewards points for this offer you must 1) be a new checking account customer; 2) be referred by an existing Chevy Chase Bank customer; and 3) complete the New Account ("Friend") section of the referral form and submit a properly completed form to the Bank. Customers cannot refer themselves. Chevy Chase Bank Branch and Customer Contact Center employees who participate in the Star Advantage Program are not eligible for this offer.
4. Agreement: Chevy Chase Bank retains the right to withhold the fulfillment of cash or Rewards points that were obtained fraudulently or obtained through the misuse of this promotion and not in keeping with the terms and conditions or the spirit of the agreement.
