- Why did you choose a career at Chevy Chase Bank?
I chose a career at Chevy Chase Bank because both of my parents were in banking so I was interested in becoming a banker from a very young age. - Why do you love being the Branch Manager on a university campus?
I enjoy being a Branch Manager on a university campus because it's a great opportunity to educate students on how to manage their money and help them develop good banking habits early on. This will be especially important as their financial needs evolve in the future. - Which college or university did you attend, and when did you graduate?
I attended the University of New Orleans, and graduated in 2000 with a BS in Business Administration. - How did your college education prepare you for your career at Chevy Chase Bank?
I incorporate key lessons from my business management and marketing classes into my everyday core responsibilities as a Branch Manager. Additionally, I took several communications courses to learn how to effectively communicate with others, which has helped me build relationships with customers and employees. - What’s your favorite memory from college?
My favorite memory from college was when I played on an inter-college basketball team for the University of New Orleans and we finished fourth in the state of Louisiana. - What advice would you give to current students?
My advice is for students to take advantage of all the opportunities presented to them at American University. The University offers many resources to help students explore various careers - through internships, the Career Center, and experienced faculty and staff. I advise students to establish relationships with mentors and industry contacts early on, so that they can learn from experienced professionals as they start their journey to achieve their career goals. - Why would you recommend students do their banking with Chevy Chase Bank?

My favorite campus event is Welcome Week to begin the fall semester. It is a great time to meet all of the new freshmen and transfer students, as well as the returning upper-classmen. - Where is your favorite place to eat on or nearby campus?
I love to start my day with coffee and breakfast from Megabytes Café, conveniently located right next to the Chevy Chase Bank branch in the Butler Pavilion.
