- Why did you choose a career at Chevy Chase Bank?
Chevy Chase Bank has become an exciting and rewarding place for me. I enjoy the relationships I am able to build with team members and customers. The bank is also very focused on personal growth and development; it’s a place where people get recognition and opportunities to excel. - Why do you love being the Branch Manager on a university campus?
I’m just beginning my journey as a Branch Manager at our Georgetown University branch, but I was very attracted to the opportunity because of the environment. Young students make it a fun place, and being part of a person’s life at such a defining period is exciting to me. I love that I get to hear them share their goals and aspirations. - Which college or university did you attend, and when did you graduate?
I was a Spanish major at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, Active Duty Air Force. I graduated in 2003. - How did your college education prepare you for your career at Chevy Chase Bank?
College gave me the opportunity to face challenges and expand my horizon. My experience in the Air Force did, as well; it allowed me to grow and develop as a leader, as well as face challenging tasks, and learn to be adaptable and manage stressful situations. - What’s your favorite memory from college?
The people I became close friends with. I’ll never forget the memories I have of first meeting someone who I became great friends with and still speak with today. - What advice would you give to current students?
Meet as many people as you can; make as many new friends as you can. Have the time of your life; make it fun. - Why would you recommend students do their banking with Chevy Chase Bank?
We really are a friendly and convenient place to bank, especially for the students at GU. We are committed to great customer service, and meeting each customer’s personal banking needs is our priority. - What is your favorite campus event to participate in?
Welcome Week is the most exciting for me because of the opportunity to meet all the new students each year. - Where is your favorite place to eat on or nearby campus?
It’s not on campus, but if you are able to drive or get to the metro you can make it to Bonsai Grill in Crystal City–best sushi I’ve ever had. - What’s something fun that you want the students to know about you?
I am still pursuing my education, and I love learning new songs on my guitar.
